Parish Council
St. Edward's Parish Council is comprised of members as well as all current staff of St. Edward's (as non-voting members). Parish Council supports various activities of the parish including, but not limited to:
Members serve a three year term, beginning in September, and may serve up to two terms for a total of six years. Elected officers within the council include President, Vice President, and Secretary. Elections for officers are held at the June meeting. Other members represent various areas of parish life in six categories: Administration, At-Large, Community Relations, Education, Liturgy, and Social Concern. Active parishioners interested in serving a term on the Parish Council may contact the parish office, 740-587-3254. Members are selected through a random drawing once all applications have been received. Parish Council holds regular meetings in the Parish hall. All parishioners are welcome to attend. If you have a cause to bring before the council you must request this of the current president by noon of the day before the monthly meeting. Parish Council President: Mr. John Martin. Deanery Council
The Deanery Council representative is appointed from the membership of the Parish Council and volunteers from the parish assist the appointed Deanery Council Representative. The Deanery Council representative represents St. Edward the Confessor parish at Deanery meetings.
Knights of Columbus
This Catholic Fraternal organization sponsors social and fundraising projects to benefit the parish and special diocesan projects. Meetings for members only normally are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month - 7:00pm in the parish hall. During this pandemic meetings are held via zoom. St. Vincent dePaul
Parishioners have the opportunity to help with person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in our area. Inspired by Gospel values, the St. Edward St. Vincent de Paul Conference leads parishioners to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in our area in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul. Meetings are the 3rd Sunday of each month noon to 1:30pm. Contact John Murphy
Women of St Edward Church (WSE)
The mission of the WSE Ministry is to reach out and meet some of the spiritual, physical and social needs of the parish in a personal way. WSE projects include welcoming new parishioners, visiting the sick and assisting families in emergencies. Normally we meet the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. (social time) 7:00 p.m. (business meeting) in the parish lounge or you may contact Annie Lach.
