Parking
- Spacious parking lots are available at both the front and back of the church. The front lot includes several designated accessible parking spaces in the row closest to the main entrance.
  
  The back church door next to the Rosary Garden is unlocked for weekend Masses but remains locked during the week. All church doors are locked five minutes after the start of each weekend Mass. Latecomers may still enter through the main center doors at the front of the church.
What to Expect at Mass
- Whether you are a regular, visiting for the first time, returning to church after many years, or just exploring, you are welcome at St. Edward Church. Don't worry if you are unfamiliar with the prayers or responses—simply participate as you feel comfortable.
- The Structure of the Mass
  
  Introductory Rites: The Mass begins with an opening song, greeting, and prayer, which is often followed by the Gloria, a prayer of praise.
  Liturgy of the Word: We listen to readings from Scripture, a spoken or sung psalm, and the proclamation of the Gospel, followed by a homily. After the homily we usually profess our faith and pray together for the needs of our community, the Church, and the world.
  Liturgy of the Eucharist: The priest prays over gifts of bread and wine, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, they become Jesus' true Body and Blood. The priest and ministers distribute Communion (the precious Body and Blood) to the congregation.
  Concluding Rites: We receive a blessing and are sent forth to live the Gospel.
- Receiving Holy Communion
  
  To receive Communion, one must be a Baptized Catholic who has received First Communion, who has fasted (except for medicine) for at least one hour before receiving the Eucharist, and who is in a state of grace. A person who has committed a serious sin must receive absolution through the Sacrament of Reconciliation before receiving Communion.
  
  If you do not receive Communion, you are welcome to remain in your pew, or to process up to the priest or minister and cross your hands over your chest to receive a blessing. Reception of Communion is a precious gift, but not an obligation—no one will judge you for choosing not to receive.
- Sitting, Standing, and Kneeling
  
  During Mass, the congregation alternates between sitting, standing, and kneeling. Feel free to follow along with those around you.
- What To Wear
  
  At Mass, we come to meet our King. Visitors are encouraged to dress nicely, but remember, Our Lord is happy to see you as you are.
- How Long Mass Lasts
  
  Weekend Mass usually lasts about one hour. If you are joining us on a weekday, Mass typically will last between twenty and forty minutes.
- After Mass
  
  After Mass, we invite you to stay and introduce yourself to clergy and other parishioners. The Parish Office is open Monday through Friday, and you are always welcome to stop by to say hello or to ask questions.
Nursery & Options for Children
- The Church is a spiritual home for everyone. We welcome children at Mass and encourage families to help them grow in faith through active participation. If your child needs a break, you are welcome to step into the Gathering Space.
- Children's Liturgy
  
  At the 10:45 am Mass on Sunday, children in first grade and younger are invited to participate in a dedicated Children's Liturgy of the Word. Prior to the start of the Liturgy of the Word, the children are invited to come forward for a blessing and are then led to another room where they hear and reflect on the day’s readings in a format designed especially for young children. The children rejoin their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Parish Office Location
- The Parish Office is located through the glass doors to the right of the main church building and is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our parish staff are happy to assist you.
